Okay, so Capcom just threw out this teaser today—like, right in our faces—for Monster Hunter Wilds’ first collab event. It was all hush-hush for a while, with whispers floating about some big Capcom partnership. No one quite knew which brand was teaming up for this.
People were buzzing with guesses, right? But today’s little hint basically shouted which other Capcom universe is tagging along for this ride.
So, there I was, doom-scrolling on Twitter—don’t judge—and bam! The official Monster Hunter page drops this image. It’s got a claw mark, and honestly, anyone who’s even glanced at Street Fighter would see it’s got that bold, in-your-face art style. No hiding it now; it’s all about Street Fighter.
The tweet was kinda bare-bones though, nothing else spilled, but come on! It’s practically an announcement. Monster Hunter and Street Fighter have, like, danced together before (remember Monster Hunter World?). Capcom’s all about the crossovers when it comes to these games.
Caught a snapshot of the teaser too. Yeah, it’s obvious. | Image credit: Capcom
This event? Wilds’ first. And, picturing how Capcom usually handles these things, it’ll probably roll out as some sort of time-limited Event Quest. Gonna throw in a wild guess that they’ll have armor sets making your Hunter look like they just stepped out of a Street Fighter brawl, maybe like Ryu. I mean, that would be cool.
Oh, and Capcom? They love dropping extra cosmetic goodies for sale around these events. If you’re into shiny new looks, keep an eye out. Event Quests usually end up a bit of a grind—because who doesn’t like extra work for cool loot? But, fingers crossed, Wilds has been taking it easier on us compared to older games, so maybe this collab will be more user-friendly.
Now, what’s really got me curious is whether it’s just gonna be costumes or if they’ll toss in something unexpected. So yeah, until they spill more beans, it’s all speculation and a sprinkle of daydreaming.
