Stainless Appoints Ben Gunstone as CEO

So, oh man, where do I even start with this? Alright, so there’s this dude, Ben Gunstone, who somehow got promoted to the big boss at Stainless Games. And it’s kinda wild because he’s taking over from the company’s OG founder, Patrick Buckland, who’s been running the show since, like, well before the internet blew up in ’94. That’s some serious tenure, right? Anyway, Gunstone sauntered into Stainless in 2022, got comfy as a game director, and next thing you know — boom — he’s operations director. Now, he’s top dog. It’s like a meteoric rise or something. Before all this, he dabbled at Dovetail Games. Not exactly sure what he did there. Maybe spreadsheets? Maybe magic? Who knows.

Okay, this is the part where Ben gets all eloquent: He’s “delighted and humbled” to snag the CEO spot. Isn’t that the dream? To have your boss hand you the keys and say, “You’re in charge now. Don’t wreck it.” And Patrick, probably winking over his tea, is like, “Yeah, I built this rad company over three decades, no big deal.
