Hey, so guess what? "Towerborne" just dropped on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and all that jazz. Yeah, it’s part of the Xbox Game Preview. If you’re into looter-brawlers, you’re gonna want some tips to kick off your Ace adventure. Not that I’m an expert, but hey, here we go.
Just Mess Around
Listen, "Towerborne" is easy enough to jump into, but there’s more depth than you’d expect. Who knew, right? Try out the four classes. They’ve got this neat weapon theme thing, but honestly, you can play around with them however you like. Even if you think you’ve got a favorite, swap it up. It’s stupid easy. Like, seriously, change your class mid-game and mess with your build without breaking a sweat.
Build It Up
So, there’s this new Class Mastery Update. Makes the classes even cooler, if you ask me. Imagine a bunch of skill trees waiting for you to build up your fighter however you fancy. Sentinel, for example, swing at the bad guys like it’s a punk concert, or hold the line like a boss. Raw damage, support roles, whatever floats your boat.
-
Bleed Build: Dug into the Sentinel’s skills yet? Deals slow, sweet damage over time. ‘Bloodlust’ straight up boosts your damage, while ‘Sanguine Burst’ triggers an explosion if you’re feeling dramatic.
-
Sear Build: Pyroclast is your burn, baby, burn class. Extend your fire damage with ‘Persistent Pyre’ and turn enemies into BBQ with ‘Ember Cyclone’ and ‘Ember Spike’.
-
Powderkeg Build: Rockbreaker? Punch things till they break. Skills like “Quick Charge” and “Cracking Knuckles” will get you launching powered-up fists everywhere.
-
Projectile Frenzy Build: Shadowstriker + projectiles = chaos. Turn your weapon into a poison-launching machine. But really, it’s surprisingly strategic if you like darts — not that I’m judging.
- Support Build: Support players? Heroes in disguise. Any class can pick up healing skills but don’t worry, it won’t stick if you change your mind. Flexibility rocks.
Take It Easy
Gobos. Yeah, they’re not subtle, but some are tough nuts. Watch them before diving in. They’ve got tells, like a poker player. Long-range attacks or clumsy swings, who knows what comes next? Spot the pattern and dodge away. Save your healing for when it really hits the fan.
Play Dirty
Use the gobos’ stuff against them. Quick reflexes, and you can make ‘em drop bombs on themselves. I laughed the first time I saw them pray instead of avoiding it. Messing with the environment’s fair game too. Get them to stand next to exploding barrels and boom — down they go. Strangely satisfying, every single time.
Umbra Friends
Umbra are these little sidekick dudes with special powers. Iska is your first — quite the sniper buddy. Later, you’ll meet others like Pox with cool aerial combos. Makes things interesting, right? Mix up your mix with their unique abilities.
Can’t wait to see how you guys handle the Belfry and beyond. Go play "Towerborne" on whatever platform you fancy. Seriously, hit it up and explore what this funky world has up its sleeve. 💥🎮
