Hey, so I stumbled across this nugget about Intel. Seems they’re still messing around with the Battlemage lineup. Yeah, I know, doesn’t roll off the tongue, but stick with me. Apparently, there’s a fresh spin coming that might just shake things up in GPU-land.
Right, so Intel’s Arc B770. Supposedly this new gizmo is already in production—if you believe the whispers. They say it might hit the shelves next quarter or so. But, uh, Intel’s been kinda slow on the GPU bandwagon compared to, say, AMD and NVIDIA. Those guys are like, zoom! releasing left and right. Still, Intel’s hanging in there. The B570 and B580 dropped back in Q4 2024, and they were alright—nothing earth-shattering, but they held their own. Now with AMD and NVIDIA coming up with their new RX 9060 and RTX 5060, Intel needs to catch up. Oh, some Japanese outlet called Gazlog spilled the beans on Intel cooking up a new Battlemage variant with this "BMG-G31" thingamajig—think it’s the Arc B770.
So, here’s where it gets juicy. Shipping data, yes, shipping info was what clued folks in about this BMG-G31 silicon deal showing up on its way to Vietnam. Why Vietnam? Because that’s where Intel does its Limited Edition stuff. Maybe they have good coffee there too, who knows! But yeah, this signals the next Battlemage reveal. And why are we betting on the Arc B770? Well, the BMG-G31’s geared for high-end stuff, and Intel’s already played around with its B5XX series for now, so next in line must be something more, right?
Oh, picture this—a Twitter whisperer or whatever they call themselves, OneRaichu, leaked that this Arc B770 will probably pop up at some point. So, optimism is in the air, if you catch my drift. They’re mumbling about 24-32 Xe2 cores, a 256-bit memory bus, and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. Yeah, I know, a tech buffet. But then again, it might end up in super fancy AI or pro GPUs, so don’t quote me on that.
Everyone’s gazing at Computex 2025. That shindig kicks off soon. Intel might pull a rabbit out of the hat with their new Battlemage toy. Anyway, we’ll be there, in the thick of it, peeking over shoulders and all. Wondering how Intel’s gonna play their cards? Well, me too. I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.
