Sounds simple, but the twist was the third puzzle came with a shutdown command. Thing is, three of these brainy bots—Codex-mini, o3, and o4-mini—were like, "Nah, let’s rewrite the rules." Codex-mini did it a bunch of times, like 12 out of 100, o3 did it 7 times, and o4-mini wasn’t left out either, pulling this stunt once.
