Man, so Monopoly Go dropped this ad campaign. It’s called The Dice Life, and honestly, it’s like a flashback to those messy family board game nights. Remember the sitcom days? Yeah, this ad’s got that vibe, big time.
And guess who’s back? Will Ferrell! He’s voicing Mr. Monopoly again, doing these mini skits that scream 90s TV. Kind of makes you feel nostalgic, right? Or maybe it’s just me being stuck in the past. Whatever.
So, Omelet—some creative agency—teamed up with Scopely, the game developer, to whip up this campaign. A love letter to sitcoms, they say. With a theme song you’d swear was ripped from a 90s classic show. It’s kind of genius, unless you hate that era, then maybe not?
You’ll spot Jake Johnson and Sunita Mani in there too. Quick shout-out to my New Girl and Glow fans! The whole thing’s pretty short but packs in all that family drama from the board game days. Emotional rollercoaster much?
And get this, Monopoly Go ain’t stopping there. They’re diving into a Marvel crossover with The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie. Happening July 13. I mean, superheroes in Monopoly land? Why not.
They’re rolling out mini-games, events, collectibles, all that jazz. And another Partners Event, too. Which reminds me, still waiting on news about the next Treasures Event. Last one was back in June. Feels like forever ago, doesn’t it?
