He was talking at some big fancy meeting—85 times they’ve done this, can you believe it? Anyway, he’s all, “Hey folks, I get it. Some of our loyal fans, and probably their cousins too, can’t grab a Switch 2 yet.” Imagine being a shareholder and still not scoring a console — tough times!
Now, bouncing back to Japan for a sec. Early April, they tried this thing on My Nintendo Store—some kind of lottery for buying a Switch 2. But guess what? People swarmed it like bees on a soda spill at a summer picnic. By April 23rd, there were over 2.2 million hopefuls, and many of them ended up with a big fat nothing. Furukawa even took to X to say, “Sorry, folks.” Oh, the drama!
Fast forward a bit, and they’ve been running draws like it’s bingo night at the community center. A bunch of them, too—four, to be exact. But still, some players are stuck at the door, peering through the window. And, surprise, there’s another draw scheduled for early July. Fingers crossed?
