Oh boy, here we go. So, you know that game, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion? Yeah, it’s getting another update on PS5. Seems like it’s taking its sweet time though. But hey, at least we’ll get new difficulty settings and some fixes. Patience is a virtue, or so they say, right?
Now, let’s dive into this patch 1.2 thing. Bethesda has given us a sneak peek on Steam. But don’t get too excited, it’s not ready for everyone. And there’s no date yet—typical, huh?
Settings Stuff
They’re throwing in more difficulty levels. You can mess with “Player Combat Damage” and “Enemy Combat Damage”. Got options like “Novice” to “Master”. That “Journeyman” level aims to blend “Adept” and “Expert” nicely—hopefully.
UI Tweaks
Maps, buttons, all that jazz. They fixed disappearing map markers and some translation quirks. And if your inventory menu was acting wonky—surprise—it’s fixed now. Controller blues in the menus? Hopefully gone for good.
Crash Central
Crashing during battles with Jyggalag? You and arrows might be on better terms now. Paralyzing NPCs seems less explosive too. Auto saves throwing tantrums? Breathe easy.
Sound Shenanigans
Sound underwater was lingering around and they fixed that spooky silence in the Shivering Isles. Environmental sounds matter, folks!
Quest Quirks
Some NPCs were annoying you by defying gravity, right? That should be sorted. But if you’re like me, the idea of mages forgetting their clothes in quests is oddly amusing. No more ghosts missing out on playtime.
Performance Perks
Framerate dips making you seasick? They’re working on smoothing that out. Something about optimizing characters, water, shadows—you know, the usual magic. Or tech. Whatever.
Gameplay Glitches
Fixed all sorts of oddball things—like tails vanishing and vampires not sleeping right. Floating necklaces and slow cameras, be gone!
System Stuff
Shadow flicker, title restarts, and disappearing water? All part of the wacky world of updates. Fingers crossed, they’ve really sorted it this time.
Anyway, that’s most of it—I think. Updates seem to fix what you didn’t know needed fixing. Or maybe that’s just me. Who knows? Keep an eye out for when it finally drops on PS5. Or don’t. Not like we’re counting down the days.
