Imagine this: the world of Marvel superheroes smooshing right into the classic board game life of Monopoly Go. Yeah, didn’t see that coming, right? This summer’s big thing is all about Marvel and Scopely teaming up for a wild ride with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
So, I guess we’re in for quite the crossover event, picking up where last year’s Marvel shindig left off. It all blasts off on Sunday, July 13. Mark your old-school calendars, folks.
Okay, so imagine Marvel’s First Family just popping up in Monopoly Go. Like, bam, they’re there: flinging open some kind of universe-portal thingy and boom, game world goes Marvel-style. We’re talking challenges, mini-games, all sprinkled with Fantastic Four dust. No kidding.
Now, what to expect? Ah, here’s a part you’ll love:
Fantastic Racers: Picture, if you will, a mashup with good ol’ Tycoon Racers. But now, chuck in the Fantastic Four crew zooming around in vintage Fantasti-Cars. Herbie’s on the sidelines, doing… whatever Herbie does, and there’s this wicked Dr. Doom-whatever-it-is.
Fantastic Partners Event: You link up with your squad, grabbing coins — Fantasticoins (yeah, someone totally named that) — and summon Marvel’s top icons: Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, that fiery dude, and Rocky — I mean, The Thing. Simple, right?
Fantastic Treasures: Go poking around Reed’s lab for some Marvel goodies like Silver Surfer’s board. Why? Who knows, but surfing space must be a blast.
Deluxe Drop: Basically, you can snag some Fantastic Four-themed bling to deck out your Tycoon avatars or whatever.
And oh, Coveted Collectibles. Little trinkets: themed tokens, emojis, shields — the usual collectible craze.
Now here’s a side note. If you’re diving back into the game after being AWOL, there’s this Aqua Partners event happening. Got it? Wraps up the same time the Fantastic Four stuff kicks off.
Oh, and one more thing: if you’re a Monopoly Go fan, you might wanna snag our Monopoly Go Dice Links guide — just updated for July. Because, you know, boosts are cool and make life easier. Anyway, July 13 — don’t miss it.
