Survios is at it again, folks. So here’s the scoop: they’re rolling out this new thing called the ‘Evolved Edition’ for Alien: Rogue Incursion on PC and PS5. Now, if you’re scratching your head, thinking, "Didn’t I just hear about this game?" — you’re right. It launched on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets last year. The reviews? A mixed bag, honestly. I mean, who loves repetitive alien encounters, right? But they patched it, reworked some Xenomorph antics, and voilà, people started mumbling nicer things.
Anyway, fast forward to now, and Survios says they’ve given it a facelift for the flatscreen crowd. The whole shebang is landing on Steam and the PlayStation Store on September 30th, 2025. Mark your calendars. Or don’t. Live your life.
The game’s got this character, Zula Hendricks — ex-Colonial Marine, sounds tough, right? She’s trying to blow the lid off Weyland-Yutani’s sketchy experiments. Along for the ride is a synth buddy, Davis 01. Think dynamic duo, but with more xenomorphs and sneak attacks. They’re sneaking (and blasting?) their way through Gemini Exoplanet Solutions on planet Purdan. Sounds adventurous, if “facing-lots-of-aliens” is your jam.
Side note: It’s ‘Part One’ of two. It seems like the second part is in the oven, promising nastier foes and harder battles. But who knows when that’ll pop out. Timing’s always a bit of a mystery with these things.
Fun fact — this isn’t Survios’ first go at morphing VR games into a flatscreen gig. Remember Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions in 2021? Yeah, that was them turning the VR boxer Creed: Rise to Glory into something more arcade-y. Think less swinging at air and more button mashing.
So there you have it. Whether this non-VR twist will wow the crowd or fizzle out, only time will tell. Stay tuned, or don’t — I’m not your boss.
