Just yesterday, Bigscreen started taking orders for its upcoming Beyond 2 PC VR headset, and it’s already making waves with its improved field-of-view and clarity, thanks to a new pancake lens design. In an impressive turn of events, Bigscreen shared that within just 10 hours of the headset hitting the market, sales figures for Beyond 2 have already eclipsed those of the original Beyond by quite a margin.
On their social media platform X, Bigscreen couldn’t help but update PC VR fans on Beyond 2’s remarkable reception. “In the first 25 minutes alone, Beyond 2 outsold the entire first day of Beyond 1,” they shared. “And within the first hour, we doubled the launch day sales of Beyond 1.” This was just the beginning of an incredible sales story.
As the day progressed, the company offered a glimpse into the sales trajectory for both Beyond 2 and its eye-tracking variant, Beyond 2e. The latest statistics are indeed jaw-dropping. “In just 10 hours since the launch… Beyond 2 has sold more than what Beyond 1 did in its first four months on the market.”
Bigscreen shows an image of the slick Beyond 2 in its new promotional material, highlighting its elegant design. As of now, Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e are slated to ship in June 2025, well ahead of their initial batches set for April and May—an indicator of the overwhelming demand.
So, what’s fueling all the excitement about Beyond 2? While you can dive into the specifics elsewhere, one key factor is Bigscreen’s smart approach to upgrades. Existing Beyond 1 users can snag the Beyond 2 at a sweet discount—$849 for Beyond 2 and $1049 for Beyond 2e—and it also plays nicely with most Beyond 1 accessories, including the specialized facial interface essential for Beyond 1.
Beyond 2’s allure doesn’t end there. It boasts a cutting-edge pancake lens for a wider 116-degree diagonal FOV, an adjustable IPD mechanism, plus a sleeker 107g design. The Beyond 2e takes it a step further by adding AI-powered eye-tracking. Although it retains the same dual 1-inch 2,560 × 2,560 micro-OLED displays as its predecessor, the new lens advances promise superior clarity and a broader field of view.
Priced competitively at $1,019 and $1,219 (with an attractive discount for early adopters), the Beyond series accompanies a newly introduced halo-style mount and Lightblocker facial interface, expected to become available by Q3 2025.
For those eager to jump on the bandwagon, all these offerings can be explored and purchased directly on the Bigscreen website.
