So, here’s the deal with this new game, Fruit Golf. It’s got this whole VR multiplayer vibe, right? But, with a twist—kinda like adding pineapple to pizza, maybe? Not sure how I feel about it, but let’s roll with it. The idea is mobile players get to mess with VR golfers by throwing in all sorts of weird obstacles. Imagine dodging dynamite or maybe a shark. Yeah, I know, it’s wild.
So, launched just last week. I’m not super into golf, but this one feels different from the usual VR stuff like GOLF+ or Walkabout Mini Golf. It’s more laid-back, like something you’d wanna play with family. Simple controls, lots of mayhem courtesy of non-VR players. Pop on the VR headset, and the chaos begins.
Oh, and your avatar? Totally gets to be a fruit. Yep, you read that right. Customize your fruity self and, as you hit goals, snag some fresh outfits or cool gear. There’s like, themed clubs too. You can practice solo, but the real fun is in multiplayer mode. Up to four players can join from wherever—and the courses are all themed. Keeps it spicy, you know?
Coal Car Studio, the brains behind this madness, have their plans lined up. Every few weeks, starting June 26, there’s a new Cup. That’s gamer lingo for more courses and fresh chaos. First on the list is “Château Vampoire.” Haunting enough? Launches on July 17.
If you’re on Quest, dive in now with early access. If you’re a Steam person, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Oh, and they’ve got a free app on iOS and Android. Keep your phone handy—it’s gonna be your weapon of choice in this fruity madness.
