Sure thing, here’s a rewritten version:

So, the other day, Resolution Games tossed out its first sneak peek of a Dungeons & Dragons kinda take on their VR-tabletop wonder, Demeo. Seriously, this has “spend hours lost in a dungeon” written all over it.
So, back in January, right? That’s when they dropped the bomb about hooking up with Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast. And now, here it is, finally getting real with some gameplay footage for Demeo x DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Battlemarked. They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but I got distracted watching this—classic Demeo style with that four-player online mash-up against some gnarly dungeon creatures.
Honestly, it feels like not much has changed in terms of gameplay. But isn’t that what we love about it? Up to four friends or total randoms squaring off against some monsters while rolling dice like desperate goblins hunting for treasure. Speaking of dice, it’s that same ol’ thing—single sword’s a hit, double’s critical, and, yeah, rolling that skull? Someone’s getting a bad day.
For newbies or those who lived under a rock, Demeo’s this turn-based RPG doodad with quick action on gridded dungeon tables. Action points, dice rolling, strategizing before you inevitably get smoked by an epic fail roll. Yay! My favorite part, honestly. And you do get those fancy action cards—attack, defend, heal, buff, yada yada.
And guess what? Battlemarked’s on the road for a hybrid gameplay launch. You get flatscreen and VR all in one go. Steam and PS5 for the sofa folks, and Quest 3/S, PSVR 2, and PC VR for the headset warriors out there.
Oh, and they mentioned all this is coming in late 2025. Seems like forever away, right? But they swear more juicy details are inbound. Game’s exact drop date, who else gets to play, plus some chatter about another adventure pack that’ll drop when it launches. Plot twist!
Matt Sernett’s got his hands in the cookie jar as narrative lead. He’s been around the D&D block—hello, Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale! The dude’s been crafting stories that pulled us into endless fantasy worlds. So, if they’re promising true D&D vibe and lore, fingers crossed he delivers.
Anyway, until then, keep your eyes peeled. You can wishlist Demeo x DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Battlemarked now on the Horizon Store for Quest 3/3S, PlayStation Store for PSVR 2, and Steam for PC VR. Go ahead, your future self will thank you. Or not.
Me? I’m just waiting for those epic fails they promise on the die roll.
