Earlier today, I swear the Elden Ring Nightreign servers just took an unexpected nap — okay, maybe not a nap, but an hour of maintenance sounds like downtime stretching its limbs. All this happened because they needed to gear up for a new patch. It’s 1.01.2 if you’re counting. Tiny little patch though, don’t expect fireworks.
Anyway, this patch? Mostly bug-fixing business, and some nerfs — although, to be honest, some folks may not have even noticed the hiccups. Not sure if that’s good or bad, or just plain old unnoticed.
So yeah, last week we had patch 1.01.1 showing up on June 2. Compared to then, don’t hold your breath for wild features here. Still, there are a couple of balance tweaks to chew on. First up: this bug where ‘Add (Magic/Lightning/Holy) to Weapon’ went wild and jacked up bow power more than it should. I mean, it’s bows we’re talking about here — recently quite the hot topic. Guess that power boost was too good to be true… bam, now it’s just… normal.
And don’t get me started on the tweak to non-direct attacks with some weapon skills. Apparently, they were packing extra punch and accidentally spreading status ailments like butter on toast. Oops, fixed that little overpowered delight too.
Oh, and about loot drops — yes, a fix slipped in so those reducing projectile damage drop-off weapons actually show up in loot like they’re supposed to. Good news for those hunting down the Demon Merchant in Limveld — guess what? The merchant’s got the memo and should now be clocking in properly.
Now, check out the whole list of fixes:
– Fixed that awkward bow bug where passive effects turned bows into beast mode.
– Fixed non-direct attack skills that got drunk on power and status effects. Naughty.
– Fixed the disappearing trick with loot-invisible weapons that reduce projectile drop-offs.
– Made sure Demon Merchant respects the punch clock.
– Tweaked something about Libra’s repetitive antics.
– Fixed Adel, Baron of Night’s temper tantrums that crashed the game.
– Smoothed over that near-death save shuffle after a Wormface grab.
The devs wrapped things up saying they’ve patched up a lot of issues. But, plot twist: similar issues might still sneak up on players. Whether it’s the same bugs pulling a resurrection act or new problems altogether, who knows?
With any luck, the downtime didn’t mess up players on the hunt for Nightreign’s elusive treasures and quests. LT;DR? Our Elden Ring Nightreign guide never skips a beat. It’s your ride-or-die for any burning questions you have while exploring this virtual wonderland.
