Oh man, hoping this next WWE Switch game doesn’t end up being as chaotic as that old December to Dismember mess. Anyone else remember that? Totally wild.
So, big news — WWE is stepping back into the Nintendo ring, gearing up for the Switch 2 arrival, like, super soon. Just a few weeks away now, I think. Earlier today, they tossed up preorders, and it’s the first time they’re doing this dance with Nintendo since… what, 2017? Time flies, I guess.
Circle your calendars for July 23, folks, because that’s when WWE 2K25 drops. They’re keeping it interesting with three different versions — like flavors of ice cream, but, uh, for wrestling video games. First up, you’ve got your basic vanilla, the standard edition, setting you back $69.99. Then there’s the $99.99 “Deadman” edition — all about The Undertaker, that Hall of Famer with that mysterious vibe. And if you’re really feeling the splurge, check out the “Bloodline” edition for $129.99, centered on Roman Reigns. He’s a big deal now, huh? Same with the “Bloodline” faction, kind of the big shots these days.
Oh, and get this — over 300 wrestlers across WWE’s main gigs, like Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. But wait, there’s a new twist too — something called “Island” mode. No idea what that means yet, but sounds intriguing! Or maybe I’m just easily amused.
Anyway, excited to see how this turns out. Here’s hoping it doesn’t flop like a botched suplex!
